Testing, Inc., (GMS) was established to provide timely, affordable and
quality materials testing and inspection services to our clients in
Northwest Alabama, Southern Tennessee and Northern Mississippi. As a
local independent testing lab, daily QA/QC Construction Material Testing
(CMT) and Inspection services are provided for projects in our area.
GMS's CMT staff have over 90 years combined experience in the materials
testing and construction industry. All of our technical staff, including
field technicians are trained/certified in their respective fields.

GMS routinely provides Quality Control Testing for our clientele, which include: Project Engineers, Architects, Municipalities, State Highway Transportation Departments, Contractors, Owners and others involved in project development. Specification compliance, timely communication, accurate documentation and practical technical assistance are the cornerstones of our independent testing laboratory and field services policies. |

GMS's
ACI/NICET/ALDOT certified technicians provide concrete testing services
including; slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, yield and compressive
strength testing. These technicians also provide reinforcing steel inspections,
soil compaction testing, proofroll evaluation, ALDOT Roadway Tech and
asphalt laboratory services, bolted connection tension verification,
soil test pit analysis, and field evaluation of materials performance.

GMS
also offers Senior Level Construction Quality Assurance materials testing
and inspection services. These include; deep and shallow foundation
inspections, caisson Cross-hole Sonic Logging, Parallel Seismic testing,
foundation allowable bearing verification, pile system installation
monitoring, post-placement concrete analysis, NDE concrete testing,
post-tension reinforced slab system inspections, fireproofing materials
testing, welder qualification testing, certified (CWI) weld inspection
services, per AWS and ASTM Methods.

Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) Certified, laboratory facility
offers all of the standard construction materials testing services (per
ASTM & AASHTO Methods), including: concrete, grout and mortar compressive
strength analysis, soil classification, moisture-density relationship,
liquid/plastic limits determination, particle size analysis, CBR's etc.
We can also provide a broad range of specialty materials testing which
include: asphalt materials testing and mix design, concrete mix designs,
petrographic examination, hydraulic conductivity analysis, consolidation,
shear strength and triaxial compression analysis, soil corrosion, etc…
